Lüül tells Nico story, Lüül & Band perform the ballad "Dein Fenster" (Your window) @ Romanfabrik, Frankfurt am Main, Germany. „Dein Fenster" was written by Lüül aka Lutz Ulbrich and is a track off Lüül's (then unreleased) 2011 solo album „Tourkoller". The ballad is about his ex-girlfriend Nico (Velvet Underground chanteuse). In the introduction to the song Lüül tells how they were living in the legendary Chelsea Hotel in New York City in 1979 and without record contract Nico planned to work with David Bowie as producer for her next album but could not get in touch with him. On a particular day she preferred to stay home instead of performing at a charity concert for a radio station at Carnegie Hall upon request of John Cale (ex-Velvet Underground). Lüül went there to find David Bowie backstage. The personnel: Lüül -- lead voc, git, banjo, ukulele -- Kerstin Kaernbach -- violin, viola, singing saw, backing vocals - Kruisko -- accordeon, melodica, backing vocals -- Carsten Wegener -- upright bass, jew's harp, kalimba, blues harp, backing vocals Lüül was a founding member of legendary Berlin krautrock band Agitation Free, Ashra, lived and worked with Nico (ex-Velvet Underground), Reinecke Fuchs Theater a.o. apart from his solo career. Currently he is a member of the 17 Hippies as all members of his band. Nico had roles in films including Federico Fellini's La Dolce Vita (1960) and Andy Warhol's Chelsea Girls (1966).
