Tune of the Week 4 - Hanter Dro
For the fourth Tune of the Week, we're going to Brittany, la Bretagne en France! I was inspired to play some Breton fiddle after a great class on Crêpes of Brittany that I took with Seattle crêpemaster Emma Le Du. This tune's for you Emma! "Hanter Dro" is a type of dance from Brittany and I learned these two tunes for this dance from the first album by the great Breton band Storvan. Their fiddler, Christian Lemaître, is one of my favorite fiddlers! I'm dedicating this Tune of the Week to Emma Le Du; thanks Emma for teaching me to make Breton crêpes!
