An acoustic kit can give the power and volume needed for a gig – but can only provide one sound. Sometimes, you need your kit to sound different from song to song, to sound more like the original track, for example. By layering electronic sounds on top of the acoustic drums, it’s possible to vary and change the drum sound for each song in the set. Hybrid drumming combines technology with acoustic drums so you can reinforce and complement your acoustic drum sound by adding electronic sounds.
