LET'S TALK GRENADILLA SAXOPHONE WOOD MOUTHPIECES !
In this short video "Lets Talk Grenadilla" Gary Sugal talks about this exotic wood and the benefits with regard to sound production. Most exotic woods including "grenadilla -wood" have been listed as "endangered" . However, the wood used to make the mouthpieces in this video was purchased more than thirty years five ago. Saxophonist extraordinaire Paul Perez describes the mouthpieces as a "monster" at the end of the video you can see him "popping" altissimo notes that is incredibly inspiring and certainly worth listening to. Talk Talk were an English post-rock band formed in 1981 by Mark Hollis, Lee Harris (drums), Paul Webb (bass), and Simon Brenner (keyboards). Initially a synth-pop group, Talk Talk's first two albums, The Party's Over (1982) and It's My Life (1984), reached top 40 in the UK and produced the international hit singles "Talk Talk", "Today", "It's My Life", and "Such a Shame".
