Vince Clarke's 1st Synth // KAWAI 100F

It's fairly rare, and was never a super popular synth - BUT - the *Kawai 100F* has more than enough tricks up its sleeve to keep things interesting. As well as a wonderful filter its got some weird modulation routings plus a 50Hz LFO which gives us plenty of routes to FM spacey madness. Most of all though, its got a fabulous raw tone that cuts through a mix and hits you in the chest. It can't do PWM, in fact you can't even change the pulse shape, it doesn't have pitch or mod wheels, it's pre-MIDI but it has oodles of character.
