Best guitar solo of all times, Mark Knopfler, Dire Straits (Alchemy live)
Sultans of Swing es una de las canciones insignia de la banda británica de rock Dire Straits (en español, "problemas económicos", explicado por el mismo Mark Kpnofler), lanzada en su álbum debut homónimo Dire Straits, en 1978. La canción se convertiría en uno de los grandes éxitos del grupo a nivel internacional. Fue el primer sencillo de la banda, y en la versión incluida en el disco Alchemy: Dire Straits Live de 1984, Mark improvisa y amplia el solo de la canción, consideradose una de sus mejores interpretaciones. Mark Freuder Knopfler (born 12 August 1949) is a British musician. He was the lead guitarist, singer and songwriter of the rock band Dire Straits from 1977 to 1995, and he is one of the two members who stayed throughout the band's existence, along with the bassist John Illsley. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest guitarists of all time. After Dire Straits dissolved, he pursued a solo career and is now an independent artist.
