Barbara Morrison "Don't Touch Me"
Barbara Morrison, one of the best blues and jazz singers around died this week in L.A, from complications related to diabetes. She could sing the blues as well as she could sing jazz which was a rare treat. She played with every major artists in both genres over the years and was a total delight. She also took the time to turn her Leimert Park community in L.A. into a welcoming place for musicians and had her own club and studio to help pave the way. She will be sorely missed.
