ROBERT SCOTT WEINRICH (b. 1961), Better Known As WINO, Is An American Singer And Guitarist. He Has Been Tremendously Influential In Helping To Develop, Define & Codify Doom Metal's Trademark Sound, And Is Also Considered A Figure Of High Regard In The Stoner Rock And Punk Rock Genres.
WINO Started His First Band, WARHORSE, In 1976, Which Would Later Morph Into THE OBSESSED. In 1986 He Joined Doom Metal Band ST. VITUS, Where He Performed On Four Studio Albums. WINO is A Restless Talent; He Forms Bands The Way Other Rocks Stars Get Cold Sores; Frequently!
He has Been The Main Creative Force In Not Only THE OBSESSED & ST. VITUS, But Also THE HIDDEN HAND, WINO & CONNIE OCHS, SPIRIT CARAVAN, SHRINEBUILDER, A PLACE OF SKULLS, PREMONITION 13, LOST BREED, ROYAL DAEMONS, BULLRING BRUMMIES, Played Bass For THE MENTORS For A Short Stint, And Three Solo Records Since 2009 Under The WINO Name.
