When Pip and Tender Blom were little, Erwin Blom (Eton Crop) used to sing songs like Wonderwall (Oasis), Say Hello Wave Goodbye (Soft Cell), Hey Goodlookin' (Hank Williams) and Last Dance (Mekons) before they went to sleep. Some 20 years ago he duetted Last Dance with Pip. In 2020 they did it again to celebrate John Peel's 81st birthday and a fundraising campaign for the John Peel Centre. About The Mekons
The Mekons are a British post-punk band formed in 1976 as an art collective. They are one of the longest-running and most prolific of the first-wave British punk rock bands. Although the Mekons' lineup has changed from time to time over the years, the core line-up includes Jon Langford, Sally Timms (vocals), Tom Greenhalgh and Susie Honeyman (violin).
