Irish Drinking Song "Better Them Than Us"

It's a St. Patrick Day Massacre as we gather at the local pub to mourn the deaths of our dear friends! Cheers to Barbara, Brian and Murphy! Eh, maybe it's not such a loss. Lyrics: IRISH WAKE - LYRICS T’was an afternoon on a saturday The gang was working for some extra pay When a freak accident took them away Cheers to Barbara, Brian, and Murphy Into dust we die and from dust we’re born So we all came down to the pub to mourn Now the Angel’s in heaven are blowing their horns So now we tell their stories Their stories, their stories, now we tell their stories. Young Bryan he was a creepy guy Always undressing me with his wonky eye I never took it, when he offered me a ride It’s not a tragedy that he died, On his application he did lie Turns out we were working side by side With a guy who committed patricide That means he killed his father His father, his father, Brian killed his father. Slutty Barbara was a big ole whore There wasn’t a night she didn’t score Always a line going out the door To get her knickers on the floor A sad sack boy fell in love with her thighs She pulled the wool right over his eyes Now he’s stuck with three little guys None of which are his Are his, are his, none of those kids are his. Honest Murphy was a punctual guy He was always on time and never lied …………………………………….(mumbles) That was all we knew about Murphy! Murphy, Murphy, We're pretty sure his name was Murphy! Piccolo Solo! Like something out of a haunting dream The gang was fixin’ the ski ball machine Suddenly, the wires shorted out Shooting ski-balls all about The shock killed slutty Barbara first Didn’t know human heads could burst The currents shot at a rapid pace It scorched off all of Brian’s face Murphy took twelve balls to the chest Now we lay him down to rest Life is gone in a blink of an eye But if three people had to die We’re glad that it was them. Was them, was them, We’re glad that it was them! Better them than us!
