Today we speak to Joe Elliott, a fantastic guitarist with over 30 years of professional playing in LA. Joe talks us through his career, explaining how a dream of attending G.I.T. led to a long career in LA as a freelance guitarist and music educator. Joe was the longstanding Head of Guitar at G.I.T. and now heads up the Fretboard Biology online guitar program. Joe's latest jazz/fusion album - Truth Serum - is brilliant, combining great composition and killer with amazing playing. We talk through some of the tracks and listen in to album highlights. Joseph Thomas Elliott (born 1 August 1959) is an English singer-songwriter, best known as the lead singer and one of the founding members of the hard rock band Def Leppard. He has also been the lead singer of the David Bowie tribute band the Cybernauts and the Mott the Hoople cover band Down 'n' Outz. Elliott is known for his distinctive and wide-ranging raspy vocals.
