I Gotta Have My Baby's Love - Sir Mack Rice - 1967
Ex-Falcons member, Mack Rice, met up with Steve Cropper and former Falcons member, Eddie Floyd, on their visit to Detroit in 1966 and they convinced him to come down to Stax as a songwriter. He also cut a few solos on his own, one such solo was this uptempo number backed by Booker T. And The MG's, titled, I Gotta Have My Baby's Love. It was released in 1967 on the Stax label as the B-side to his single, Love Sickness. Rice would go on to forge a consistent career primarily as a songwriter in Memphis.

Bonny "Mack" Rice, sometimes credited as Sir Mack Rice, was an American songwriter and singer. His best-known composition and biggest hit as a solo performer was "Mustang Sally". He also wrote "Respect Yourself" with Luther Ingram.
