The very same day that Martin Luther King Jr. pronounced his speech "I Have a Dream", Mahalia inspired thousands of demonstrators with this song called "How I Got Over". This VIDEO, with on-screen LYRICS, shows her perform there, at the March For Jobs and Freedom in Washington, 1963. Remember this was a key day for MLK's Civil Rights Movement on behalf of African American people and, it would be fair to say that both Mahalia and King, led by God's love, made history together. MLK and Mahalia already met each other and had a story to tell together. See that here: https://youtu.be/odHqG1rA4M8
