Shawn Camp appeared on the so-called 'New Country' scene in 1993 with his first eponymous album and charted with this fine song. A year later a second album was recorded, but shelved by his record company. He then mostly made a name as a songwriter for others and in 2010 his unreleased 1994 album finally saw the light of day . . . oh, those strange record company politics!
