Track listing "Soul Kissing" "Come to Me" "Madonna's Daughter" "The Girl and the Paperboy" "Roman Times" "Sideshow" "Little Brother" "Hey Henry" "Night Train" "The Great Divide" Credits Arran Ahmun - Percussion, Drums Harry Bogdanovs - Synthesizer Marie Broady - Background Vocals Betsy Cook - Synthesizer, Piano, Background Vocals Roger Downham - Vibraphone John Illsley - Bass Germaine Johnson - Background Vocals David Knopfler - Guitar, Vocals Mark Knopfler - Guitar Mike Paice - Saxophone Pino Palladino - Bass Kevin Powell - Bass Bub Roberts - Guitar Danny Schogger - Piano Tony Spath - Producer Bobby Valentino - Violin Album Review "Release" This early solo album from David Knopfler has a strong Dire Straits flavor, particularly "Madonna's Daughter," and where Mark Knopfler contributes his unmistakable rhythm guitar. However, David Knopfler's strong, sandpaper vocals and the gentle orchestral feel of some of the tracks make this album distinctly his own: "Sideshow" has a rocky, dance-almost-disco rhythm, there's some interestingly-dirty sax work on "Come to Me," and the recording closes with a memorable, late-night love song "The Great Divide." http://www.knopfler.com/ https://itunes.apple.com/au/album/release/id294131206 http://www.amazon.com/Madonnas-Daughter/dp/B0026I3KN8 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sanremo_Music_Festival David's Discography:- • 1983 - Release • 1985 - Behind the Lines • 1986 - Cut the Wire • 1988 - Lips Against the Steel • 1991 - Lifelines • 1993 - The Giver • 1995 - Small Mercies • 2001 - Wishbones • 2004 - Ship of Dreams • 2006 - Songs for the Siren • 2009 - Anthology: 1983-2008 (Released in USA) • 2011 - Acoustic (with Harry Bogdanovs) Dire Straits Band at the time of this performance were:- Mark Knopfler, John Illsley, Hal Lindes, Alan Clark, Terry Williams, Guy Fletcher.
