Tygers of Pan Tang Gangland John Sykes Guitar Solo with TAB #johnsykes #shorts

Tygers of Pan Tang is one of the most Important New Wave of British Heavy Metal Bands. My favourite album of the band is the debut called Wild Cat. I really like Jess Cox’s Voice. The next two albums Spellbound and Crazy Nights were both recorded a year later with a new singer called Jon Deverill. The band also recruited one of the greatest guitar players of 80’s John Sykes. You can hear the influence of all the thrash band’s leads coming directly from John’s playing. I also like how Spellbound is the blue wintery sounding album with more reverb and Crazy Nights is the Molten hot orange dry sounding album. Like Diamond Head, The Tigers of Pan Tang didn’t receive the commercial success of their comrades Iron Maiden and Def Leppard but their influence was just as important if not more so. John is a very advanced player. To be honest I like listening to him more than I like playing his leads since they are so difficult but it’s good to challenge yourself. He also sounds incredible on the Thin Lizzy album Thunder & Lightning, the 1987 Self Titled White Snake album and his own band Blue Murder.
