About This Footage

This 2015 clip, "PVRIS // Favourite Albums (Ep. 46)", is a rare backstage footage of the American pop rock band PVRIS, offering an intimate glimpse into their thoughts and preferences during their tour with Bring Me The Horizon and Beartooth in Europe.

The conversation between Lyndsey, Alex, and Brian from PVRIS reveals their fondness for Moving Mountains's "Waves", a 2011 album released on Triple Crown Records. This preference might seem unexpected given the band's own style, but it highlights the eclectic tastes of its members. The fact that they mention this album as their favorite underscores the significance of "Waves" in their musical journey.

The clip also provides insight into PVRIS's touring schedule and activities during this period. In November 2015, the band was supporting Fall Out Boy on their "Wintour Is Coming" arena tour in the United States. This collaboration likely exposed them to a broader audience, contributing to their growing popularity. Furthermore, it is mentioned that they were preparing to re-release their breakthrough debut album "White Noise", which would have further solidified their position in the music scene.

The clip's authenticity and rarity make it an interesting addition to PVRIS's discography. The fact that it was captured during a tour with notable bands like Bring Me The Horizon and Beartooth lends credibility to its value as a historical document of the band's early career. Moreover, the informal setting and conversation style create a sense of immediacy, making this clip feel more personal than a traditional interview.

The Backstage Broadcast crew, who recorded this footage, has a reputation for capturing candid moments with artists during their tours. Their YouTube channel offers an array of exclusive content, providing fans with a unique perspective on the lives of musicians. This particular clip serves as a testament to their dedication to sharing behind-the-scenes stories and experiences.

PVRIS's rise to prominence is well-documented, but this footage offers a fresh perspective on their early days. The band's ability to connect with fans through their music and authenticity has been a key factor in their success. This clip, though brief, provides a glimpse into the band's creative process and personal preferences, making it an essential part of any PVRIS fan's collection.

The mention of "Waves" as PVRIS's favorite album is particularly noteworthy, given its influence on their own sound. Moving Mountains's blend of post-hardcore and emo elements might have resonated with the band members' musical tastes, leading to a deeper exploration of these genres in their own work. This connection highlights the interconnectedness of the music scene and the ways in which artists draw inspiration from one another.

This clip is not only an interesting addition to PVRIS's discography but also serves as a reminder of the importance of exploring different sounds and styles within the music industry. The band's willingness to engage with various genres and artists has contributed to their growth and success, making this footage a valuable piece of musical history.
