So, I think I can honestly say this was the smallest, most intimate Half Moon Run show we've ever seen. We were in a tiny room in a small pub in Kingston (Ontario) named The Grad Club that was filled with, at most, a couple of hundred people (more likely somewhere around 150), a majority of whom looked like undergrads at Queen's University. The band was basically in the middle of the crowd, on a platform that was only raised a matter of a couple of inches from the floor. Sometimes, the "light show" was nothing more than just turning the main lights on for a few seconds. This was a rare opportunity. It's nice to see that as much as their popularity grows, the members of the band obviously love playing in little pubs like that to a small crowd. As much as I wish them huge success, the longer we can see them in this kind of setting, the happier I'll be. My wife did most of the filming standing on a bench along the wall, but I did a few songs as well. Those of us who are used to our videos should have no trouble sorting out who did what. The sound was all right. Not the best we've heard, but the atmosphere made up for that quite nicely. As usual, they played very well, although they skipped a couple of songs we wish they'd played. I'm uploading the entire show. A few of the uploads will have two or three songs in a single video. We were fortunate enough to catch some of the sound check, but didn't film that part.
