matt monaghan - the sun's story - live demo
Parental AdvisoryExplicit ContentThe sun, our star, is routinely described as 'just a yellow dwarf' and classified as a mere G2V star. Matt wondered what the sun thought of this, especially considering its recent work with our planet in supporting all life on earth. This song follows a rare interview with the sun. On petulant form, the sun first strikes out at an "upstart moon", then "cheeky' intrusive" astronomers and their "flashy, f*****g annoying telescopes and satellites" and went on to remind us all of the sun's role in the history of the earth, as watched by trilobite eyes and swirling vultures. "I melt the ice in Dublin, you know !" bellowed the sun as it left a unnamed Helsinki pub. Matt escaped, eyebrows singed and converted the interview into a song. www.myspace.com/mattmonaghanmusic www.mattmonaghan.com Thanks to Mark Fea, Sidewinder Records, Malaga, for help in recording this live demo.
