Mike Jackson Alabama Mamma (1926)
I do not own the copyright to this recording. This video is for historical and educational purposes Mike Jackson only made eight recordings under his own name and only five of those were issued. That's not to say that he wasn't busy otherwise. Jackson was a member of cornetist Thomas Morris's Seven Hot Babies where he found himself backing singers such as Alberta Hunter, Clara Smith & Margaret Johnson. He also recorded with another group of Morris's, the Dixie Jazzers Washboard Band, that also included Bobby Leecan & Robert Cooksey. Mike Jackson:Vocals & Piano Recorded in New York City, N.Y.
