This has always been one of my favorite songs by The Doors. I feel like this is one of those very rare performances by John Densmore where he doesn’t play the toms one single time. Being such a heavy tom player throughout their catalog, this feels like a slightly different approach for him. John Paul Densmore (born December 1, 1944) is an American musician. He is best known as the drummer of the rock band the Doors and as such is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He appeared on every recording made by the band, with drumming inspired by jazz and world music as much as by rock and roll.
