Ian Blurton and Huron Live at the Dakota - Free Jazz Hands

Kokomo Arnold
Liveyoutube

Ian Blurton teams up with the band Huron at the Dakota for a Wednesday night residency. Here they jam together on a late night set. Check this clip out - Huron's sound is incredible. Music critic Tim Perlich got it right when he talks about this band - "Huron simply has what it takes the chops, the tunes and the facial hair." Huron consists of singer/guitarist Cam Malcolm from Peterborough's the Sweet Homewreckers, sideman-for-hire Aaron Goldstein playing his sweet pedal steel guitar and also on a Gibson SG, while bassist/keyboardist Adam Melnick is from Dan Griffin's Regrets. Drummer Pete Hall is from A Northern Chorus - together as Huron they rawk. You'll know it when you hear their Blurton-produced debut which is available now as a digital download at:: http://www.huronmusic.ca Ray Charles, Pinetop Perkins, Charles Brown, Dr. John, Edgar Winter, Reese Wymans, Jerry Lee Lewis, Fats Domino, Stevie Wonder, Stevie Ray Vaughan, T-Bone Walker, Robert Johnson, Son House, Muddy Waters,John Hammond Jr., Johnny Winter, Jimi Hendrix, Billy Gibbons, Rory Gallagher, Eric Johnson, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, B.B. About Kokomo Arnold

James "Kokomo" Arnold (February 15, 1896 or 1901 – November 8, 1968) was an American blues musician. A left-handed slide guitarist, his intense style of playing and rapid-fire vocal delivery set him apart from his contemporaries. He got his nickname in 1934 after releasing "Old Original Kokomo Blues" for Decca Records, a cover version of Scrapper Blackwell's blues song about the city of Kokomo, Indiana.
