The name NZZN comes from the members names: Necas, Zica, Ze Nuno. [u]History[/u] NZZN began as a Rock covers band, who played in the Cascais area. The group formed by Necas (guitar), Zica (drums), Zé Nuno (bass), and Armino (vocals) at one point began to compose originals. NZZN rehearsed at the Associação Popular de Paço D´Arcos, Lisbon, and had already done several songs and because Vedeca label was betting on Portuguese Rock bands, the group contacted them in order to get a contract.
