Chuck Mosley - Death March (Live in Everett, WA - June 16th, 2016) - Faith No More

Chuck Mosley was a good dude. Imperfect and flawed, but kind hearted and immensely insecure. Chuck impacted a lot of people, but he wouldn't believe you if you told him so. He fought a battle that an unfortunate number of 'rock stars' have lost, including Chuck, last November. I was fortunate to have hung out with Chuck a few times, including after what was undoubtedly the biggest show of his career, his reunion show in San Francisco with Faith No More. It was Chuck, his friend and bandmate Doug, and me, in a bar down the street from the Great American Music Hall. We were the only ones there, far from the Hall and past the excitement from the show. I told Chuck how great it was, and true to Chuck Mosley, he didn't believe me. The three of us hung out and had a few drinks before I was off to find a bench at the airport to sleep on. My flight was only a few hours away and it didn't make sense to grab a hotel. And sure enough, true to Chuck Mosley-form, he said I should come and hang with them, that I could sleep at their place. I turned them down, but what I wanted to say was "Yes". I saw Chuck perform in Oregon the next year. He was different, more focused. I asked him how the new material was coming and he said things were going really good, that the new stuff was created through Pain, Love, and Clarity. At the time I got the impression everything was 'good', but clearly his demons returned, because he was dead a few months later. Chuck was a good dude, that unfortunately met a demon he couldn't face alone. Hasn't been the same... Since you quit the human race, left without a trace. Death March, baby.
