The Blaxcotsman - New Gold Dream 2016

Best known internationally for Don't U 4Get About Me, Simple Minds hit a creative peak in 1982 with the masterly New Gold Dream. New Wave Music, evolving out of a seductively dark, synth-inspired Euro-Beat Sound was an exciting movement to be part of. I created the drum part and performed it in 1982 at the Townhouse Studios famous "Drum Room" in London with the great Mel Gaynor, recording double drums for New Gold Dream. However, my love of New Wave started earlier, in the late 70's with the likes of Gary Numan, OMD and more. Dedicated to Mother Earth, in this Season of Climate Change, She is Your Friend till the bitter end. New Gold Dream done Blaxcotsman style.
