Singer-songwriters Dave Gunning and James Keelaghan will take to the Harbourfront stage for an intimate night of award-winning music Friday, January 12th. These two top Canadian artists will showcase their artistic craftsmanship and quality musicianship individually and collaboratively. “Harbourfront is proud to welcome two of Canada’s top singer-songwriters to the Island for an enriching musical experience this January.”–Kieran Keller, Harbourfront’s Executive Director After two decades in the industry, Dave Gunning is still providing audiences with fresh and energetic folk music that covers a wide range of styles, tones, and subject-matter. An eight-time ECMA winner and a two-time Canadian Folk Music Award recipient, Gunning has been heralded as one of the top Canadian musicians in his field. “Truly, what makes Gunning so remarkable as an entertainer is his rare gift to be able to befriend the audience as a whole from the stage throughout the course of the concert.” – The Guardian Likewise, James Keelaghan delights and inspires audiences with his original music that pushes boundaries and never allows stagnancy. As Keelaghan says, “I want my audiences to know that I am open enough to try new things and push their bounds.” His songs are all part of a musical journey he’s been on with his fans for the past 25 years. Gunning and Keelaghan come to the Harbourfront as part of the Atlantic Presenters Association (APA) and RADARTS’ Canada 150 Performance Series, supported by the Government of Canada. Tickets are available at the Harbourfront box office and online at harbourfronttheatre.com.
