"Lost Jim" Ohlschmidt - Candyman
On a recent visit to Avalon, Mississippi, I recorded nine Mississipi John Hurt songs sitting on the front porch of the house he lived in for many years before his rediscovery in 1963. This song is surely one of the most curious in his repertoire! Really fun to play. The house is now the MIssissppi John Hurt Museum, which is open to the public by appointment, and during special events. For more information about the museum, gifts, advertising, and musical events, go to www.msjohnhurtmuseum.com - If you enjoyed this performance, I have recorded two CDs of Mississippi John Hurt songs which can be previewed and purchased or downloaded at www.cdbaby.com Thanks! - Lost Jim
