"I Want To Live In A Wigwam" (Cat Stevens cover)
In 2004, the singer/songwriter, Cat Stevens (Yusuf) was on his way to Nashville to record an album. Traveling to the U.S. with his daughter, his plane was rerouted and denied entrance into the country as, unbeknownst to him, he was on a No Fly List. I remember it was big news, especially in Nashville, where some of my musician friends were to have played on the sessions. With the news, I immediately called a recording session with Kenny Malone, Danny Thompson, Dan Dugmore, Sam Bacco and myself. We recorded three or four Cat songs, including "Peace Train." This song, "I Want To Live In A Wigwam," is the only song that survived the loss of the multi-tracks (and only as a rough mix, with the rough mix itself missing for 20 years).
