Sweet Thing - Gorgeous George - 1965

Theodopholos George Odell, aka Gorgeous George, was a legendary stage dress designer and tailor to the stars as well as a highly regarded MC for live performances throughout the south during the 1960's and 1970's. Gorgeous George also could sing and cut several singles on his own as a solo. His classic 1965 Stax recording of, The Biggest Fool In Town, is a wonderful example of southern deep soul. The B-side to that track was, Sweet Thing, which he wrote himself.
