SUE FOLEY on RIGHT-HAND TECHNIQUES

I saw Sue Foley play at the Saxon Pub at the beginning of this year while I was on holiday in Austin. I'd been hearing her name for years but had never really checked her out. So, yeah — she's really great! I've been a fan ever since. Her 'Ice Queen' record is compelling from start to finish, and she sounds killer on Mike Flanigan's 'West Texas Blues.' In our conversation, she talks about some of her early blues influences, wearing out her iconic pink-paisley Telecaster, playing with a thumbpick and with no pick at all, and the guitar styles of some of the women she admires most. https://suefoley.com https://shop.suefoley.com This is an excerpt.
