This is a track from British comedian Michael Bentine's 1962 album, "Its a Square World". This sketch was written and all of the voices recorded by Michael Bentine. The record was produced by George Martin and recorded at EMI Studios in London. I had the pleasure of knowing Michael during the last 13 years of his life. I found him to be one of the most intellectually gifted people I have ever to have met.
About The La's
The La's were an English rock band from Liverpool, originally active from 1983 until 1992. Fronted by singer, songwriter and guitarist Lee Mavers, the group are best known for their hit single "There She Goes" (1988).
