So I have been knowing this guy for a long time, probably over ten to fifteen years. When I use to park cars in Chinatown, my good friend Kay Chin, also use to work in Chinatown, and he still does. I remember him and I interacting and having fun and I get into real estate. Fast forward, today is 2014 and Kay Chin came to me 2013 and said ‘Thach, I want to actually buy a home. My wife and my two kids and mother in-law we live in a one bedroom apartment in Chinatown and I wanted to get a new home for all my family to live in in a bigger home. To me that is an American dream story. Please Help Me.’ I was so inspired, I have know him forever and of course I want to help him move from a one bedroom to a house. So I got them pre-qualified, him and his wife they both make decent money, got good credit, and also they have enough down payment to actually buy a home. So we went looking for house in Beacon Hill, because they want to be close to Chinatown. And we found this beautiful home on Beacon Hill, and I think it was around something like three hundred and twenty five thousand ($325,000) needed just a little bit of work. I negotiated a great deal, and this house literally had everything Kay ever needed. Even a little small cubby hole where he use it as his office doing all his computer work and internet work in this house, hidden away from this whole family. So the house close, you should have seen Kay and his family reaction, but more importantly you should have seen his two kids. His kids are right around eight and six years old somewhere in that zone. They were so excited, they were like, ‘IS THIS OUR NEW HOME? THIS IS SO BIG FROM WHERE WE CAME FROM’. They were so excited, and to me folks, that is the purpose and my passion why I selling real estate. Its to see families living in a one bedroom apartment, all of them, and moving to a four, five bedrooms house and seeing their families and their kids excited. Why? Because that is where I use to come from. We lived in a two bedroom and one bath house and for me to see where I am at today, I constantly have to remind myself how appreciative they journey I came from.
