In this newly digitized cine film, we take a captivating journey back to the 1960s, with the charming county of Devon taking centre stage. This film showcases various picturesque locations within this county, nestled in the heart of South Devon. We'll see a family delighting in the beauty of the coastline, enjoying their day by the sea. We'll explore the bustling Dartmouth Harbour, alive with a multitude of boats and elegant yachts bobbing on the water. Then, we'll venture into the vibrant Plymouth town centre, where the automobiles of that era are seen parked along the busy streets, or gracefully driving past. You'll also catch glimpses of lorries, laden with goods, going about their work. A particular highlight is the iconic Pig Nose Inn at Kingsbridge, south of Dartmouth, a landmark that, remarkably, is still thriving and welcoming visitors more than 60 years later. Towards the end of the film, Tewkesbury in Gloucestershire is visited and The Abbey looks magnificent.
