On March 1st, 1969, Paul McCartney produced the song Goodbye for Mary Hopkin at Morgan Studios, London. Paul played multiple instruments—including bass, drums, ukulele, and acoustic guitar—and was hands-on throughout the session. The promo video, filmed by Apple’s Tony Bramwell, shows Mary miming in the studio and listening to playback with Paul in the control room. In 2010, previously unseen footage from this session was restored and released with her remastered Postcard album.
