Last night, Roger Waters (of Pink Floyd) joined G.E. Smith on stage at the local watering hole, The Stephen Talkhouse in Amagasnett, NY, for G.E.'s belated 60th. With Abe Fogle (drums) and Jeff Kazee (piano). No one* was expecting Waters to take the stage. By sheer dumb luck, I sat to talk with old friends at a table down front (hey Katie & Seth!) and had my iPhone 4 in my pocket, and so was able to catch the best bits, up close. My old iPhone 3GS mic could not handle recording live rock without fuzzing out, but the iPhone 4 recording sounds great, esp. when played through good speakers. Let's hope the YouTube upload keeps the quality. Check out the other videos from this set on my channel. The whole set rocked the Talkhouse.
