The Michael Massaro Band - Live at The Newmarket Jazz Festival 2015. " I Remember Rio" is an original tune that pays tribute to the influence of Brazilian music and in particular the late great Stan Getz, and his work with Astrud and Joao Gilberto. The Band: Anthony Panacci on Keyboards, Louis Bartolomucci on Guitar, Steve Lucas on Bass, Steve Heathcote on Drums and Michael Massaro on Tenor Saxophone. Thanks to George and Sher St. Kitts for organizing the Festival and for Multi-Tracking and filming all the different Acts that appeared at the 4- day Event. R.E.M. was an American rock band formed in Athens, Georgia, in 1980 by drummer Bill Berry, guitarist Peter Buck, bassist Mike Mills, and lead vocalist Michael Stipe, who were students at the University of Georgia. R.E.M. was noted for Buck's arpeggiated "jangle" guitar playing; Stipe's distinctive vocal style, unique stage presence, and cryptic lyrics; Mills's countermelodic bass lines and backing vocals; and Berry's tight, economical drumming.
