The Rolling Stones Live, 25/10/1964, Ed Sullivan Theatre, NY
As many pop acts at the time, the Ed Sullivan show had to be the go to place for up and coming talent. And just coming fresh out of Paris, where the Stones were really popular, they flew to the USA. This single handily made the Stones late Autumn tour instantly successful, cementing their name in the US. Around and Around - 1:00 Time is On My Side - 4:11 The Rolling Stones had only played 2 songs, both covers. The songs selected I find interesting as it didn't show off their first single in the States, "Tell Me", which was actually an original. But Around and Around from their album earlier that October, and Time is On My Side, the single. All in all, this is a great bit of early Stones footage.
