Mini-Skirt Minnie - Mack Rice - 1967
Mack Rice was part of the influx of Detroit singers and songwriters to arrive at Stax in the mid-1960's following his fellow former Falcon, Eddie Floyd, south to Memphis. Rice's vocal debut on Stax was this 1967 release, titled, Mini-Skirt Minnie, which he wrote himself. Despite releasing several solo projects while with Stax, Rice made more of a mark as a songwriter for numerous Stax artists in the 1960's and 1970's.
