Big Kenny (of country music duo Big & Rich) debuted "Heart Of Africa," a song he co-wrote with Damien Horne on July 11th -- right before the World Cup Final, at a benefit concert for the United Nations World Food Programme staged at the world-famous Karen Blixen Coffee Garden in Kenya. The Karen Blixen Coffee Garden is where the movie 'Out of Africa' based on the autobiography by Karen Blixen was filmed starring Meryl Streep and Robert Redford. The children singing with Big Kenny are from the Mathare Community Outreach School and Shangilia. These children are living in the slums of Nairobi. About 2 million people live in these slums and this school sits right in the middle of them. This was during Big Kenny's recent visit to Nairobi with the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP). The WFP has put together an incredible program that feeds these kids a meal everyday to keep them in school. This program is currently keeping these kids in school with an attendance rate of over 99%! That's better than most school here in the US. The key to this success is due to the fact the WFP and the Mathare Community Outreach School provide a meal each day for each child. This meal only cost $.16. That's 16 cents. For many children its the only meal they get. Connect with the REAL Big Kenny on Facebook: https://facebook.com/bigkenny.tv Get it on iTunes: http://bit.ly/iGjfZG
