The late great John Jackson filmed in Germany in Oct 1969 for the American Folk Blues Festival. I don't make anything colourising these videos so please support the channel with the tip link here if you can its greatly appreciated! https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/bluesincolour John H Jackson was born into a musical family in Woodville, Virginia, and learned to play the guitar at an early age. He moved to Fairfax, Virginia, in his twenties, where he worked as a gravedigger, among other jobs. His first recordings were released in the early 1960s by Arhoolie Records. He visited Europe several times, played at folk music festivals, and also recorded for Rounder Records and Alligator Records. He also appeared around Washington, D.C., with the Travelling Blues Workshop, which included Jackson, Archie Edwards, Flora Molton, Mother Scott, and Phil Wiggins and John Cephas. 0:00 Backstage with Magic Sam 1:20 You Ain't No Woman 3:34 John Henry 5:48 Interview If any videos get blocked I tend to post them on my other social media platforms, so have a look if you don't want to miss anything!
