The Tricks of London ~ Steeleye Span
A week's getaway....Buckingham Palace, Abbey Road , The South Bank, The Globe, and the best, or was it the biggest, breakfast ever..smiles and Steeleye Span. The bridge in this video is actually Blackfriars Road Bridge. Oh yes....missing from the footage...I stumbled upon 'Jack Straws' Castle' near Hampstead Heath...home at last! Also met some unforgettable characters at the 'Sharp's Folk Club' floor sing.... Tuesday nights at the Cecil Sharp House. I love London, but it's being obliterated by progress and you have to snoop around for the charming bits of history, away from the tourist trade.

Steeleye Span are a British folk rock band formed in 1969 in England by Fairport Convention bass player Ashley Hutchings and established London folk club duo Tim Hart and Maddy Prior. The band were part of the 1970s British folk revival, and were commercially successful in that period, with four Top 40 albums and two hit singles: "Gaudete" and "All Around My Hat".
