OH HOW I MISS YOU TONIGHT - Shorty Shoemaker Orchestra-
As Shorty told me, this is in honor of my brother lost in WW2. As that really struck home with me since my dad was KIA in WW2 Shorty and I would often both have tears before the song ended. You can hear the emotion in his voice on the vocal. This is part of the story that not many know about! This LP was recorded after I left Shorty, so I'm not playing the bass horn on any of these songs and I'm not pictured along with Shorty, Eldon Bredlow-saxophone, and Don Hagen-accordion, (although I have worked with them before this was cut. I'm a bass horn player and am known as a 'heavy bass' that is I'm a bit louder than many others and I ad lib a lot more than others, (that's good and that's bad depending on who you talk to).
