Dave Anderson is a bass player with over thirty years' experience performing and recording in a wide range of genres. His credits span a range of world class artists in jazz, R&B, pop, folk rock, fusion, world music, and more. His recent work includes associations with The Bill Evans Band, Blood Sweat & Tears, Art Garfunkel, Bob Baldwin, Smokey Robinson, Special EFX, Kate Taylor, and more. His numerous past credits include Regina Carter, Joe Beck, Marion Meadows, Warren Hill, and many others. His discography includes over seventy five recordings by a wide range of artists, showcasing his skills as an ensemble player and soloist on 4/5/6 string electric bass, fretless bass, electric upright bass, and piccolo bass. As a performer, sharing the stage with some of the top names in the business, he has been seen and heard on tours across the Americas, Europe, Asia and the Caribbean.
In addition to being a consummate, indispensible sideman for others, Dave leads, co-leads, collaborates, and/or is musical director on a number of creative projects, including The Dave Anderson Group, The New Dinosaurs, Failing Forward and others. His skills also include audio engineering and production – he has owned and operated Flying Squirrel studio since 2000 and has recorded tracks there for a long list of musicians and clients for albums, web audio, promotion, theatre and more.
