Flash of Genius is a biographical drama based on real events, released in 2008. Directed by Marc Abraham and starring Greg Kinnear, it focuses on inventor Robert Kearns' fight to defend his patent rights. The story begins in 1963, when Detroit engineer Robert Kearns has a sudden inspiration on a rainy night and invents the intermittent windshield wiper for cars - this design can adjust the speed according to the rain intensity, solving the defects of traditional wipers. He takes his invention to seek cooperation with Ford Motor Company, only to have his technology stolen, mass - produced and his invention rights deprived by the company. Facing the indifference and threats of the giant enterprise, Robert refuses to compromise. He gives up his stable life and starts a 12 - year lawsuit journey alone. The film delicately portrays his struggle with financial pressure, family conflicts and mental exhaustion, and also shows his persistence in "innovation deserves respect". Finally, he wins the lawsuit with perseverance, vindicating the intellectual property rights of ordinary people. Greg Kinnear interprets Robert's idealism and stubbornness with delicate acting. The film does not deliberately exaggerate conflicts, but conveys the power of "persistence in faith will eventually pay off" through daily life details, becoming an excellent work that pays tribute to the courage of ordinary people. #FlashOfGenius #BiographicalFilm #TrueStoryAdaptation #IntellectualProperty #InventionStory #SpiritOfStruggle #GregKinnear #AutomotiveTechnology #UnderdogTriumph #Idealism #AdhereToFaith #JudicialJustice #FamilyAndDreams #WorkplaceStruggle #PowerOfInnovation #ClassicMovie #InspirationalStory #BrillianceOfHumanNature #OdeToCourage #PatentProtection
