Although Jimmy Hughes is remembered primarily for his 1965 smash hit, Steal Away, he recorded a slew of other great southern soul songs while recording for Fame and Volt during the 1960's and into the early 1970's. I Worship The Ground You Walk On, written by Dan Penn and Spooner Oldham, is a classic southern soul masterpiece which entered the Billboard chart in September of 1966, peaking at #25.
