Savage Grace was formed in 1981, originally named Marquis de Sade. after the French aristocrat. their first recordings were recorded with Kelle Rhoads on vocals. His brother Randy Rhoads of Ozzy Osbourne and Quiet Riot fame, would suggest the name "Savage Grace" named after the 70s rock band of the same name. Despite it's short length, this demo would spawn two fan favorite songs. "Curse The Night" was later rerecorded for the 1983 EP "The Dominatress", and "Scepters Of Deceit" would be featured on the compilation album "Metal Massacre II" under Metal Blade Records.
