Lineup Vocals - Dwight Cliff Guitar - Chris Logue Bass - Brian "Beast" East Drums - Dan Finch III This is the debut demo by the American heavy metal band "Savage Grace" released in 1982 independently. Savage Grace was formed in 1981, originally named Marquis de Sade. after the French aristocrat. their first recordings were recorded with Kelle Rhoads on vocals. His brother Randy Rhoads of Ozzy Osbourne and Quiet Riot fame, would suggest the name "Savage Grace" named after the 70s rock band of the same name. Despite it's short length, this demo would spawn two fan favorite songs. "Curse The Night" was later rerecorded for the 1983 EP "The Dominatress", and "Scepters Of Deceit" would be featured on the compilation album "Metal Massacre II" under Metal Blade Records. R.E.M. was an American rock band formed in Athens, Georgia, in 1980 by drummer Bill Berry, guitarist Peter Buck, bassist Mike Mills, and lead vocalist Michael Stipe, who were students at the University of Georgia. R.E.M. was noted for Buck's arpeggiated "jangle" guitar playing; Stipe's distinctive vocal style, unique stage presence, and cryptic lyrics; Mills's countermelodic bass lines and backing vocals; and Berry's tight, economical drumming.
