Led by vocalist Gwen Stefani, the core lineup includes guitarist Tom Dumont, bassist Tony Kanal, and drummer Adrian Young. The breakthrough came with the diamond-certified Tragic Kingdom (1995), fueled by the ska resurgence, notably marked by the record-setting 16-week run of "Don't Speak" atop the Billboard Hot 100 Airplay chart. "Just a Girl," co-written by Stefani, became a standout track. Return of Saturn (2000) didn't match the previous success but received critical acclaim, earning a Grammy nomination. Rock Steady (2001) incorporated reggae and dancehall, featuring collaborations with Jamaican artists and producing Grammy-winning singles "Hey Baby" and "Underneath It All." After a 2004 tour, the members pursued solo projects, with Stefani releasing successful solo albums. The band regrouped for Push and Shove (2012), marking their latest effort.
