Sweet vocal harmony of The Ethiopians is again the highlight of this 1966 release that is until the eurhythmic saxophone break, elevate the session to yet another label. Superb instrumentation with this muscular rude-boy style groove with "Take Over" is colourful mixture of Ska, merengue, jump-up with rude-boy Ska under-belly. The flipside frames Jackie Mittoo's soulful side as he skillfully manipulates the keyboard, Booker T. style whilst a saxophone decorates the proceedings, popping in and out of the session at will with well-timed blows.. Two great sides... unmissable. Condition Report a smudge of soft rub on the a-side label, otherwise two clean labels, 3 prong centre intact, full gloss unblemished mint minus vinyl, as good as it can possibly get.
