This is a rare copy of Minnesota Garage Rock band The Litter's album Emerge. Prior to a re-release a few years back, this group was vastly (and really still is) unappreciated for their small, but powerful catalog. I've included the raw, original 8-track audio with no processing, and some silence removed to improve the listening experience. I've included the classic "ker-chunk" noise for the full vintage, nostalgic effect. The Litter – Band Biography The Litter were one of the most influential garage rock and psychedelic rock bands to emerge from the American Midwest during the late 1960s. Formed in Minneapolis in 1966, the band blended raw garage-rock energy, fuzz-drenched guitars, psychedelic experimentation, and proto-hard-rock intensity that helped define the era's underground sound. Their breakthrough single, “Action Woman,” became a garage rock classic and remains a staple of countless compilations celebrating the first wave of American psychedelic rock. Originally formed from members of local Minneapolis groups The Tabs and The Victors, The Litter quickly gained a reputation for their powerful live performances and aggressive guitar-driven sound. Following the acclaimed albums Distortions (1967) and $100 Fine (1968), the band evolved into a heavier and more adventurous musical force with Emerge, their landmark 1969 release.
