TJ Superfan Channel presents: The Handcuffs (live) at Liars Club, in Chicago's near north side neighborhood of Clybourn Corridor. Brad Elvis, Chloe, Emily, Alison, and Susie Q make up the unique chemistry of The Handcuffs. This great band has been a fixture on Chicago's music scene for about a decade. About two years ago, they eclipsed their coolness by adding Susie Q on lead guitar. Susie Q was originally in The Wanton Looks and occasionally does a female version of Ace Frelhey with the KISS tribute band, Slutter. Totally retro to the 1970s, The Handcuffs are one of these current bands that make the "old school" new again. Neo-glam or new wave of new wave would be a good description of these current bands that won't sellout to the corporate machine of 2015. Nope! They had no part of Lollapalooza. Instead, they were delivering old-school garage-punk in a small club. Yes, I was about five feet away from The Handcuffs. No copyright infringement is intended.
